Accuri is led by four individuals
with balanced and overlapping expertise.
Jennifer Baird
Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Baird received her MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, where
she shared Top-of-Class honors. She has led teams of technology developers,
process improvement and sales/marketing groups generating significant cost savings,
new products and sales for her clients and employers. As a Vice President
at Keane Consulting Group she helped build the company as it quintupled in size
to over 150 staff and managed over $10M in projects. At ISSYS Sensing Systems,
Inc (MI), Ms. Baird led fundraising, marketing/sales, business development, grant
proposal writing, public relations, regulatory affairs, human resources, and
product development.
Jack T. Ball
Chief Commercial Officer
Mr. Ball has
a long and proven record for bringing life science products to market and capitalizing
on existing product potential. Most recently he was CEO of Amnis
Corporation, a venture backed technology start-up developing high-end imaging
flow cytometers. He has also served as CCO for Molecular Probes, Inc.,
the world leader in reagents for cell analysis, including flow cytometry consumables. Prior
to that he was with Orchid Biosciences as Sr. VP and General Manager with Amersham
Pharmacia Biotech Inc., where he rose to President, Region North America and
was responsible for sales, marketing, and customer support for all products
sold in North America.
David C. Olson, PhD
Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Olson is a molecular biologist with
broad experience in life science research, product development,
intellectual property management, and business development. Dr.
Olson received his doctorate in Molecular Biology from Princeton
University, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University
of California, San Francisco. He then co-founded Genteric,
Inc., a San Francisco Bay Area biotech start-up where he led
the molecular biology and immunology labs, and where he purchased
his first flow cytometer. Most recently Dr. Olson served
as Vice President of Research and Development for PanCel Corporation,
a cell therapy company.
Collin Rich, PhD
Chief Technology Officer
Dr.
Rich has a broad technical background including MEMS, semiconductor fabrication
processes, embedded microcontrollers, display technologies, electromagnetics,
semiconductor theory, digital signal processing, power electronics, control theory,
fluidics, and thermodynamics. He is a skilled systems integrator and prolific
inventor, he also has substantial experience building and managing teams to develop
innovative technologies. Dr. Rich earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering/MEMS
under acclaimed professor Prof. Ken Wise at the University of Michigan. He
is the author of three issued US patents and 12+ applications.
